Representation in Court

Most DVAP clients need an attorney to file a suit and represent them in court.  Cases include both simple and complex child custody and divorce matters, adoptions, child support, and visitation matters; guardianship cases; consumer law matters mostly involving car and home purchase and repair issues; landlord-tenant matters; and probate cases.

Individuals seeking legal aid should apply for help at one of DVAP's Neighborhood Legal Clinics.  For a listing of clinic times, dates, and locations, please visit the "Neighborhood Legal Clinics" section of this web site.  Application may also be made through the Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas telephone line at 214-744-5277 on Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  For a telephonic listing of clinic dates and times, please call 214-748-1234, ext. 3600.
